Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection - Officially Announced [Trailer Inside]

Many people called this, myself included but to be honest it was practically a safe bet to assume, that there would be a remastered version of the current Uncharted titles for the PS4. If you've never played any of the Uncharted titles before or if you've defected from team Xbox, then now is a great time to complete (imo) one of the best game series ever released!

Included in the trilogy are Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception, all remastered to a standard of 60 fps (frames per second) and in glorious 1080p (full HD). Apparently, along with the graphics and frame rate improvements, there will also be "better lighting, textures, and models" and "a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies".

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Release Date

It's a bit disappointing that Uncharted: Golden Abyss, which was released for the PS Vita, isn't included in the collection. I personally would love to play that particular title, seeing as I don't own a Vita and probably never will but I guess if everything eventually came to console, how many people would bother with the handheld device?

Naughty Dog themselves aren't doing the remasters, this job has been assigned to Bluepoint Games, who have previously done a few remastered HD collections for the PS3 including God of War and Metal Gear Solid. I personally haven't had any experience of this studios handiwork but considering the franchises they've already worked, they seem qualified for the task.

Are you excited for this remastered trilogy? Let me know below :)
