A couple weeks back I wrote a short article with some news regarding the delayed launch of Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time and today I have another small update to share with you. A few hours ago, PopCap tweeted a link to one of their blog posts, which said that PvZ2 was getting an early release in New Zealand and Australia and that it was being treated as a "soft launch". Just in case you don't know what a soft launch is, basically it's when a product is released or a new business opened on a small scale, the purpose of this is to ensure that the product/business is fully functional/operational for when it officially launches/opens for everyone.
If the game is at this stage of development, it seems to me that it's more or less fully completed and so the official launch shouldn't too far away now, my guess is sometime next month maybe, at least that's what I'm hoping for lol. Unfortunately it's still slated as an iOS exclusive at launch, so if you're wanting to play it on another platform, like myself, we'll still be waiting a while after launch and there's currently no timetable.
