How to Farm Salvage and Earn Easy XP in Solo Private Matches - Tomb Raider Multiplayer

During the research stage of earning my platinum for Tomb Raider, I read on more than one occasion that salvage could actually be farmed while in private matches and furthermore, that it could be done solo. A little more research revealed that the same was also supposedly true of XP, now while I didn’t think all these people were collectively lying, I was somewhat sceptical and quite confused. Reason being, I’ve never come across a multiplayer game, where progress made in private matches is saved and actually carries over into public matches.

So I decided to check for myself, I created a private match, started it up and sure enough the game got under way with just me in the lobby. I then proceeded to complete the objectives and crack open a few crates along the way, when the round ended I opted to return to the lobby, noting that the game was saving some data. I then left my private lobby and began searching for a public match, after some time I was plonked me into a public lobby, where I was able to confirm that both salvage and XP earned privately, had indeed been saved and carried over.

Journey To Platinum - Tomb Raider [Part 2 ~ Multiplayer Trophies]

A few days ago I posted part one of my Journey To Platinum article on Tomb Raider, in which I discussed my tips and tactics for completing the single player trophies. Today I'm bringing you part two, which will cover all the multiplayer trophies. Enjoy, Al.

Multiplayer Trophy Guide

Adventurer - Complete a match in all multiplayer modes.

There are four different modes in Tomb Raiders multiplayer and to unlock the trophy, you just need to play a single match in each mode (casual or ranked) and stay until the end, doesn’t matter if you win or lose and it still counts even if you joined the match late. The four modes are: Rescue, Team Deathmatch, Cry For Help and Free-For-All.

Journey To Platinum - Tomb Raider [Part 1 ~ Single Player Trophies]

Welcome guys and gals, to the first ever Journey To Platinum article! Today I'll be discussing the trophies that can be completed in Tomb Raider, now to avoid making this post insanely long, I've decided to split them between two posts: single player (this article) and multiplayer trophies. I'd heard a lot of good things about Tomb Raider before I got around to playing it a last month and I'm glad say that it lived up to the hype, initially I thought the multiplayer was crap but as I played it more, there were moments where I actually had fun. It was at this point that I decided to go for the platinum trophy, it took a few weeks but I enjoyed the process and now I'll be sharing what I learnt along the way, so that you may do the same :)

What Have I Been Doing Since Last Year?

Hey guys and gals, sorry it's been a while since my last post, I'm not really sure where the last nine(!) months have gone to be quite honest O_O For those that are interested in my activities during my absence, carry on reading from here, for those that just want to know what I'm planning for AcornVision now that I'm back, skip down to the bottom. Righto, let's begin, I suppose it's best if I start from where I last left off and then go from there... When Call of Duty: Ghosts launched last year, I thought for sure that I'd have a load of content I'd love to talk about but unfortunately, it wasn't all it was hyped up to be and I actually spent a surprisingly small amount of time playing the multiplayer. And as you might already know, if I don't particularly enjoy something, I'm not going to spend a lot of time and effort writing up articles, just for the sake of doing so, that's not how I roll. Granted I could've knocked out other articles on things not Ghost related but at that time it started getting busy at my place of work and so between being tired, a tad (read: really) lazy and not having any ideas I thought were worth pursuing, I kinda just stopped doing anything creative for AcornVision :/
