Black Ops 2 Cheapest Launch Day Prices, Special Offers & Promotions [UK Summary]

UK Launch is Tuesday 13th Nov 2012

People of the UK, it's that time of the year again, when gamers up and down the country make like a daytime television program and go bargain hunting! But it's not antiques we're searching for, nor will the item we want be found at car boot sales, at least not this week anyway :P That's right fellow first person shooter fans, it's the launch week of Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 and if you haven't pre-ordered a copy, it probably cus you're hoping to snag a bargain come Tuesday (13th Nov).

If you're new to the CoD franchise or if you've never waitied until launch day to secure your copy before, i'll just give you a quick breakdown of what this article is about. As you may or may not know, every year for the launch of the new CoD title, certain supermarkets (and sometimes websites) often decide to have some sort of special launch day price/promotion. In previous years we've had prices averaging a little higher than £30 for a single standard copy [console format] and promotions along the lines of the buy the game with something else (usually PSN credit/MS points) and save a reasonable amount overall.

I feel it necessary to add at this point that, there may very well be no special promotion offer and/or reduced launch day prices this year. Please don't assume that there will be savings to be had and later regret not placing a pre-order, especially if you don't get a copy on the day at all. This article is simply working on the fact that in the past there were such occurances and that they could happen again. Also i should mention that by purchasing a copy on launch day, you won't get any of the pre-order bonuses, so if that's something you really want, you should place a pre-order asap.

OK, disclaimers and warnings aside, what do i think will happen this year? Truthfully, I haven't got a clue. It's very rare for information to be shared with the public until launch day, hence it's a risk/reward situation, you have to wait until the day to discover if you can make a saving or find out you've simply wasted half day, that could've otherwise been spent stomping noobs. Initially this article will contain the current pre-order prices from retailers that do business online and then nearer the launch day i'll update this article with any special promotions or discounted prices.

Don't forget, if you uncover a special promotion or reduced launch day price, please be generous and share it with me including the source of the information, then i'll update the article accordingly. In the past, adverts have been in the morning newspapers, on billboards and outside the supermarkets themselves, so keep your eyes peeled...
